Astrid was born in a small town with a long name - Siedenlangenbeck - in Germany. She grew up in the lovely city of Schwerin near the Baltic Sea. After her graduation as an electronic engineer in Dresden she went right on into her true love for graphic design. She worked for seven years as an editor for different TV stations in northern Germany. In 2001 she moved with her family to the United States.
